“The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.”
Lakeith said it in our last Mission Minute. Whatever is stored up in here is going to come out here. You can’t have a heart full of darkness and speak words that are full of light.
So how do we do it? How do we fill our hearts with good treasure so that our words bring honor to God and life to those around us?
It’s not something we can do on our own! We need to pray and ask God to give us new hearts.
That’s why the Psalmist prayed, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD.”
This is something that you can do today. Pray and ask God to give you a new heart.
