“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses…”
What comes to mind when you hear the word witnessing?
Is it someone standing on a street corner, yelling out loudly that the world is on its way to hell? I don’t think this is the type of witnessing Jesus had in mind when he gave his final instructions in Acts 1.8.
Instead, Jesus wants us to be more like the woman at the well in John 4. Immediately after having an experience with Jesus, she went and told others about him.
The story of what Jesus has done and is doing in your life, is something no one can refute, and it’s often the best way of reaching those around you!
Jesus calls us to witness for him. So I ask you: who is one person you can share with this week? Pray for an opportunity, and then trust God to do the heavy lifting as you step out in faith.
