How do we do the work Christ did the way Christ did it? That’s the focus of this series on The Master’s Plan.
And thankfully, we don’t have to guess. The Bible gives us plenty of insights and Jesus himself said “I’ve given you an example that you also should do as I have done to you.”
So where do we start? The same place Jesus did! The first principle of The Master’s Plan is Incarnation.
There’s a line from a popular song that says “He came from heaven to earth to show the way.”
The principle of incarnation involves two basic things. First, the spiritual, or more mature person, must take the initiative. Jesus didn’t wait for us to seek him; he entered our world.
Second, Jesus came to us in a way we could understand. He approached us on our level.
So, are you taking the initiative to share Jesus with others in their space and at their level? That’s how Jesus did it. That’s incarnation.
